The PDC World Cup of Darts is to move dates in the calendar, with the fourth staging of the tournament to be held from June 6-8 2014.

The tournament was introduced in 2010, when the Netherlands' Raymond van Barneveld and Co Stompe took the title at the Rainton Meadows Arena in England, while English pair Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis have claimed the 2012 and 2013 titles since the event's switch to Germany.

Hamburg's RWE Sporthalle will continue to stage the event in 2014, with the three-day, 24-nation event to be held from Friday June 6-Sunday June 8, with coverage live on Sky Sports HD.

"The PDC World Cup of Darts has been a huge success in the past three years and Hamburg's Sporthalle has become a hugely popular venue for fans of the competing nations," said PDC Chairman Barry Hearn.

"This move to June will give the tournament added spice next year, with darts' World Cup set to precede football's version later that summer as international sport comes to the fore."
