Image: Shane Cansdell-Sherriff: Expected to make debut

Team news for Saturday's League Two clash between Burton Albion and Scunthorpe at the Pirelli Stadium.

Shane Cansdell-Sherriff is expected to go straight into the Brewers starting line-up this weekend. The Australian was brought in on-loan from Preston this week to help ease Albion's centre-half problems after Marcus Holness joined Ian Sharps on the suspended list. Holness was sent off during the defeat to AFC Wimbledon last Saturday while Sharps was absent at Kingsmeadow while he served the second game of his three-match ban. Rory Delap looks likely to miss a third game with a hamstring strain and, although back in training following a five-week lay-off with a thigh problem, it may still be too soon for striker Billy Kee to return to contention. Iron defenders Andy Dawson and Niall Canavan are both expected to be fit in time to face Burton. Player-coach Dawson is nursing a slight groin strain sustained during last week's win against Plymouth, while Canavan was withdrawn early in the second half due to the effects of a stomach bug. Manager Brian Laws, who has no other selection issues as Scunthorpe bid to extend their unbeaten league run to five matches with a third straight win, is confident both players will be in contention. Skipper Michael Collins remains sidelined with the knee injury that has kept him out since the end of August, while striker Matt Godden, winger Andy Welsh (both knee) and defender Christian Ribeiro (groin) are still out.
