Late equaliser gives Frankfurt draw
Martin Fenin struck a late equaliser to salvage a 1-1 draw for Eintracht Frankfurt in Friday night's Bundesliga clash against Werder Bremen.
Both sides started the night in the bottom half of the table and with work still to do to secure survival.
Bremen had been in better form, however, following a five-match unbeaten run that had lifted the pressure on manager Thomas Schaaf.
And Bremen were on course to pick up three more crucial points as a Halil Altintop own goal put them ahead of Frankfurt on 58 minutes.
However, Fenin netted with just seven minutes remaining to deny the visitors victory.
The result leaves Bremen 12th in the standings, a point and a place above Frankfurt ahead of the rest of the weekend's action.
