VVV Venlo snatched a late point against Heracles Almelo as they produced a stunning comeback to secure a 2-2 draw on Friday evening.
The home side were 2-0 in front thanks to goals from Everton and Samuel Armenteros after a one-sided first half of the Eredivisie clash in Almelo.
However, Ruud Boymans pulled one back for the visitors against the run of play on the hour before Michael Uchebo's last-gasp effort sealed the draw.
Everton came close early on as he nodded Mark Looms' cross from the left downwards, but keeper Kevin Begois saved and held the attempt.
Begois then comfortably saw off a shot from Darl Douglas before Heracles opened the scoring in the 36th minute.
Looms again powered down the left to feed Everton, and Begois this time failed to resist the onslaught as the ball hit the back of the net.
And that left flank was again the source of the home team's success when they doubled their lead five minutes later.
Control
This time it was Mark-Jan Fledderus who fired the ball into the penalty area and Armenteros controlled it before driving it into the top-right corner.
Begois had to be at his best seven minutes into the second half when Douglas' blast arrowed towards the top corner, only for the Belgian to claw the ball away.
And he saw the fruits of his efforts when Uchebo crossed from the left and Boymans brought the ball under control and finished with a right-footed shot.
Almelo keeper Remko Pasveer was called upon to make a strong save when Boymans targeted the top-left corner with nine minutes remaining.
But he could do nothing when, in the second minute of stoppage time, a scramble saw the ball eventually break to Uchebo on the edge of the box and his low right-footed drive found its way through the throng an into the corner of Pasveer's net.
