French defender Franck Signorino wants to quit Getafe when the transfer window opens in the New Year.
Signorino moved to La Liga over the summer after Nantes were relegated from Ligue 1, but he has struggled to make an impact in Spain.
He has barely featured under Michael Laudrup and says the Getafe coach is willing to let him leave next month.
"I want to leave," said Signorino in
L'Equipe. "I had a discussion with the coach before the holidays, and he confirmed to me that he did not count on me and that he would not oppose my departure.
Not worried
"I am open to everything, but it's true that a return to France would be more appropriate. I am well aware of this championship, the adjustment would be easier.
"This is the first time I find myself in this situation, so I am not necessarily confident. But, in any case, I am not worried either."
Nancy and Nice have both been linked with offers for Signorino, having tried to sign the 26-year-old over the summer.
Signorino added: "I have nothing against Nancy or Nice."
