Blackburn Rovers defender Andre Ooijer will miss Holland's friendly with Croatia on Wednesday.
Ooijer linked up with his international team-mates, but was deemed not to be fit enough by Dutch doctors on Monday.
The nature of Ooijer's injury has not been specified, although the experienced stopper played 90 minutes for Blackburn against Everton at the weekend.
Holland coach Marco van Basten has drafted in AZ Alkmaar's David Mendes da Silva as a replacement for Ooijer.
Van Basten's plans have already been hit after Orlando Engelaar, Clarence Seedorf and Ruud van Nistelrooy were forced to withdraw from the squad.
