Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have parted company with Julio Dos Santos.
The 25-year-old Paraguay international midfielder struggled to make an impression at the Allianz Arena after his €2million move from Cerro Porteno in January 2006 and has now been released from his contract.
"There was no longer any point in keeping him here. The transfer rights are now in Julio's hands," Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told
Kicker.
Dos Santos, who made only five Bundesliga appearances for Bayern and spent loan periods at Wolfsburg, Almeria and Gremio, will now join Brazilian outfit Atletico Paranaense.
