Popov and Chafni both suffer knee injuries
Auxerre have been dealt a double injury blow with the news that both Robert Popov and Kamel Chafni are facing lengthy spells on the sidelines.
Macedonia defender Popov is set to be out of action for around six months after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during a reserve-team match.
Moroccan midfielder Chafni, meanwhile, is likely to be unavailable for two months after damaging his right knee.
Chafni, 26, sustained the injury during Saturday's 2-0 win over Lorient at Stade du Moustoir.
