Falkirk consider Banks raid

Falkirk have established Hearts custodian Steve Banks as their number one transfer target.

But money is an issue

Falkirk have established Hearts goalkeeper Steve Banks as their number one transfer target should Scott Flinders return to Crystal Palace. Bairns manager John Hughes is concerned that Flinders, on-loan from Palace until January, may return to Selhurst Park in the New Year. Banks, 36, is currently a youth-team coach at Hearts, having been told he's surplus to requirements with the first-team.

Targets

Even so, Hughes has announced that the move may not be feasible. "Banksy is definitely on the list but it all comes down to finance. "I can't be more honest than that. If we get Flinders then great, but if not, we'll be looking about. "I know Banksy's situation at Hearts and he is one we like, he's just one who is on our list." The Falkirk chief continued: "I'm working on Flinders at the moment and if that doesn't come off we'll see what happens. We should know by Christmas what is happening but we are trying to keep him here. He's done well for us, been patient and works ever so hard."
