Midfielder not focusing on Les Bleus individuals

South Africa midfielder Teko Modise says a team ethic will see them conquer France in their final group game. The 27-year-old Bafana Bafana player will take the field against Les Bleus in Group A on Tuesday, with South Africa's place in the tournament on a knife edge. The hosts drew their opening game with Mexico but were comfortably beaten 3-0 by Uruguay in their last match, leaving them needing a big win against the French and the other tie in the group to go their way. It is a big ask, but with the France squad currently in disarray, Modise says his team are focused in the job in hand, not their opponent's individual stars. "We are not focusing on any individuals," he said. "We are concerned about ourselves and how we are going to beat France. "We still have plenty of self belief and confidence that we can finish the group stage with a win." On his own form for South Africa, Modise added: "I am not unhappy with my form this year for Bafana Bafana. "I was happy with my game in the opening 1-1 draw against Mexico, but not so happy with what I did when we lost (3-0 to Uruguay). "I know I need to play better against France."
