Manager Darren Ferguson is keen to test teenager Joe Newell in his side's second leg play-off semi-final with MK Dons.
The 18-year-old midfielder was an unused substitute in Peterborough's 3-2 defeat at Stadium:mk but could start Thursday's game at London Road if Ferguson moves midfielder Tommy Rowe to left-back to cover the suspended Charlie Lee. Ferguson told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph: "I would not worry about playing Joe. He is a very talented young player, he's very composed and he keeps the ball well. "If I need to change the midfield I would certainly consider Joe. He was on the substitutes' bench ahead of some more experienced players on Sunday for a reason. "Obviously James Wesolowski comes into the reckoning and I also have Arron Davies, Chris Whelpdale and Lee Frecklington available."
