Midfielder recovering from knee surgery after Cardiff loan

Hull City do not expect an imminent departure from the KC Stadium for Seyi Olofinjana while the midfielder recovers from knee surgery. Olofinjana joined the Tigers from Stoke City in 2009 and made 19 Premier League appearances during his debut campaign at the club. However, he spent last season on loan at Cardiff City and scored six goals in 42 games for the Championship play-off semi-finalists. The 31-year-old had been keen on a permanent move to Cardiff, but is now back at Hull ahead of the 2011/12 campaign. He has been the subject of interest from other clubs, but any move is currently on hold following a recent minor operation on his knee. "There's been some interest in Seyi but he's injured at the minute so it could be something that gets done later," the Tigers' head of football operations Adam Pearson told the Hull Daily Mail. "We're waiting to get him back into training as soon as possible before anything happens on that."
