Palermo defender in demand, according to agent
Palermo defender Cesare Bovo's agent has claimed that Fiorentina are among a host of clubs interested in his client.
The 28-year-old centre-back was a key figure for Palermo last season but his performances did not go unnoticed and he has been heavily linked with a summer move.
With Argentina midfielder Javier Pastore and Italy goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu both having joined big-spending Paris St Germain, the Rosanero can ill afford to lose any more of their star men.
Bovo's representative, Franco Zavaglia, nevertheless understands that a number of clubs are in pursuit and admits one possible destination is Fiorentina.
Zavaglia told
calciomercato.it: "Almost all teams are interested in him. But he has a contract and only some can afford him.
"Fiorentina? They are certainly among them."
Bovo has represented Italy at all levels up to Under-21 and also helped the Azzurri win Olympic gold in 2004.
