Young striker delighted after scoring for Rotterdammers
Teenage striker Anass Achahbar says he has fulfilled a boyhood dream by scoring his first goal for Feyenoord in the Dutch cup on Tuesday night.
The 17-year-old came off the bench for the Rotterdammers to seal their 4-0 victory over AGOVV Apeldoorn at De Kuip.
Achahbar, a regular for the Feyenoord academy side, was making his second appearance for the first team after appearing as a late substitute against Heerenveen in the Eredivisie last month.
"The feeling I have now, it's hard to describe," he told Feyenoord's
official website. "For me it's always been a dream to score for the first team.
"I've always said to my friends that I probably would not be able to describe my first goal and I was right. It's incredible.
"For my under-19 Feyenoord team-mates it's also beautiful. They are proud of me."
Achahbar says he had no time to celebrate his goal success, adding: "On Wednesday morning I went to school. I started at half past eight."
