Rennes defender Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik has signed a contract extension which will keep him at the club until 2015.
The 22-year-old is highly rated and was linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur during the summer transfer window.
He has represented France at Under-21 level but has now opted to play internationall football for Cameroon.
He told the club's
official website: "I have improved a lot since my arrival. I owe a lot to the club.
"I have extended my stay because the club want to build a team capable of competing at the top of Ligue 1.
"I want to commit myself to that project."
