Damien Perquis' season could be over, with Sochaux medical staff confirming that he is facing up to three months on the sidelines.
The 27-year-old broke his arm after taking a heavy fall during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Valenciennes.
The Polish defender has suffered with a similar problem in the past, with metal pins having been inserted in his arm.
Medical tests have revealed that he will require further reconstructive surgery, forcing him out of action for a prolonged period of time.

It is still possible that Perquis could figure for his country at Euro 2012, but he will struggle to play any further part in Sochaux's efforts to clamber off the foot of the Ligue 1 table.
"The pins he had inserted when he first broke his arm were not strong enough and could not handle the fall," Sochaux's doctor Michel Marais told
L'Equipe.
"Damien will be able to resume competition in two-and-a-half to three months.
"On his involvement at the Euros, it will be very tight but not impossible."
