France boss Laurent Blanc admits he could be without highly-rated midfielder Blaise Matuidi ahead of their quarter-final clash with Spain.
The midfielder did not feature in France's Euro 2012 three warm up games
France boss Laurent Blanc admits he is growing increasingly concerned about the fitness of highly-rated midfielder Blaise Matuidi ahead of their quarter-final clash with Spain.
The Paris Saint-Germain player has yet to feature in this tournament after injuring his thigh but was hoping to be fit for the knock-out stages.
But Matuidi broke down in training and will have to pass a fitness test before the game to see he can play against the current World and European champions.
"It was getting much better," Blanc said at a press conference on Wednesday. "But the day before yesterday he injured himself again.
"It is an occupational hazard. He might be able to play in the quarter final, but we can't be sure yet."
