Scottish Premier League new boys Ross County have taken former Dundee United defender Mihael Kovacevic on trial.
The 24-year-old is available as a free agent after leaving Croatian side FK Zadar.
He would be expected to settle quickly at County were he to secure a return to Scotland, having spent three years at Tannadice between 2008 and 2011.
He helped United to Scottish Cup success in 2010, but was released the following year after struggling with injury.
Experience
The former Switzerland U21 international has been offered an opportunity to earn himself a new deal in the SPL by County boss Derek Adams.
He told the
Scottish Sun: "We've taken the player in for a week's trial and hopefully if it goes well it will prove the right move for club and player.
"Mihael played a lot of games for Dundee United in the SPL and has very good experience but we want to see how is looking as well as showing him around the club.
"He has spent the last season in Croatia. He will play a trial game for us next week."
