Midfielder ends three-year stay in England to join former club

Nenad Milijas has reportedly agreed a swift return to Red Star Belgrade following his release from Wolves by mutual consent. The Molineux club announced on Thursday that Milijas had agreed the cancellation of his four-year contract despite still having one more season remaining on the deal. The Serbia international was not part of new boss Stale Solbakken's plans but press agency Beta report he is wanted at Red Star - the club he captained before leaving for Wolves in a £2.6million move in 2009. The 29-year-old is expected to sign an initial one-year deal on Friday that could be extended to four years and is hoping to be available for Sunday's league game at home to newly-promoted Radnicki Nis. The Serb is believed to have had options to stay in England but has elected to return to the club where he scored an impressive 23 goals from midfield in the 2008-09 season.
