Weir rules out quick fix

Sheffield United boss David Weir has ruled out any panic moves into the loan market as he addresses the club's poor form.

The Blades have not won in Sky Bet League One since the opening day of the season and crashed to a fourth straight league defeat at the weekend against Carlisle. But Weir, in his first season as manager, told the club's official website: "We're desperate to improve, but we aren't going to be desperate in searching for a quick fix. "The dressing room is low and the morale is low, but I would be more worried if it wasn't, we need that win - and quickly - to give everyone a boost." Summer signing Febian Brandy will return to contention for the weekend clash against Preston at Bramall Lane and Weir added: "Febian will give us a lift because he is something different. "He is quick and direct with an eye for goal and we certainly need him to contribute now he is available again. "I will continue to analyse what we are doing and what we will do in the future, because at the moment it is obviously not working."
