Sheridan frustrated by draw

Image: John Sheridan: Cut a frustrated figure

Plymouth boss John Sheridan was frustrated after Argyle failed to find a way past Accrington in a goalless draw at Home Park.

Stanley keeper Marcus Bettinelli denied Plymouth target man Marvin Morgan one on one in the second minute and although he was beaten three minutes later, Rommy Boco's angled drive hit the outside of the post. Striker Reuben Reid fired wide from 10 yards in the 25th minute and gave Bettinelli an easy save in the 38th minute when teed up to score by Hamza Bencherif's nod-down, but Stanley grew in stature as the game progressed. Sheridan said: "It was not the result we wanted against the bottom of the league team but I knew it would be a difficult game. "The game should have been over at half time. We just haven't taken our chances so we made life a lot more difficult than it should have been. "We really didn't get going in the second half the way I would have liked us to, again obviously not scoring goals. "We've had good chances to score goals and if you take your chances the outcome of the game is totally different. I think the performance would have been different. "There is a lot of pressure on us now. We are not scoring goals and we are not winning games. People are getting very agitated and we have got to accept that, it wasn't good enough again. "The game was definitely there if we wanted it but we did make really hard work of it in the end. "We created lots of chances last week and we've done the same today and we are just not taking them. Is it time to change? That's something I really have to look at now. "It might be time for big changes and give people the opportunity to show me because there are probably one or two who are thinking 'when am I going to get a game'."
