Done keen to impress

Rochdale midfielder Matty Done hopes he did enough in the weekend win over Wycombe to keep his place in the starting line-up.

Former Barnsley winger Done, who teamed back up with Dale boss Keith Hill in the summer following his release from Hibernian, made only his second league start of the season in Saturday's 3-2 victory. "It's nine games in now and I've had to bide my time to get my chance," Done told the club's official website. "The first 30 minutes were probably the best we've been all season - we looked like scoring every time we went forward and we looked solid at the back. "It was a pleasure to play in and to be back out there. "The lads have done brilliantly so far this season and the front lads have done superb. I'm not one for moaning - I get on with it, keep my head down and wait for my chance. "I got it (against Wycombe) and hopefully I've done enough to stay in the team now. "We've got a great set of lads and I'm here to help. I've come in and we've got another three points, so that's four on the bounce now." Victory over Wycombe lifted Hill's side up to fifth place in the Sky Bet League One table.
