Howell: Put the team first

Lincoln's Luke Howell has warned some of his team-mates must put their egos to one side if they want to avoid the drop.

The Imps are in danger of relegation to the Blue Square Bet Premier, with the 2-0 home defeat to Cheltenham on Monday leaving them just two points above the drop zone with two games to go. Howell says individuals thinking of themselves rather than the club is partly the reason why City find themselves in this perilous position. He told the Lincolnshire Echo: "I do feel that sometimes, a few individuals look after themselves and if they perform well but the team loses, they might not be too disappointed. "This is a tight league and maybe that is the difference. If we did not have that we might be a lot higher. "We have better footballers than some teams higher up the league so you have to ask why we are where we are. Each person will have a different opinion."
