Trulsen set to follow Stanislawski to Hoffenheim next season
St Pauli have confirmed they will allow current assistant manager Andre Trulsen to end his contract at Millerntor-Stadion at the end of the season.
Trulsen, 45, will therefore be able to pick up the job of assistant manager under former St Pauli boss Holger Stanislawski at Bundesliga rivals Hoffenheim next season.
The former St Pauli defenders have formed a positive coaching partnership and the club's chairman, Stefan Orth, admits Trulsen's exit is another 'sad situation'.
Orth told
Hamburger Morgenpost: "We have complied with Andre Trulsen's request. He is free to leave St Pauli at the end of the season.
"We are losing one more old hand of St Pauli with him leaving. It's a sad situation."
Trulsen said: "This has not been an easy decision to make.
"Leaving St Pauli is a very tough decision for me. St Pauli is stored in my heart. But it is time to make a change in my life as a coach."
