Injury-time winner fires Kaiserslautern out of drop zone

Bayern Munich moved into fourth thanks to a devastating 6-0 win over Hamburg and an Arjen Robben hat-trick, while table-toppers Borussia Dortmund lost to Hoffenheim. The Dutchman helped Bayern Munich thrash Hamburg 6-0 and close the gap on third spot to just two points following Hannover's defeat to Cologne on Friday. Robben opened the scoring in the first-half with a typical left-footed smash into the roof of the net. He added a second with a free-kick and slotted in his third the 55th minute after good work from Franck Ribery which left Hamburg facing an uphill task. Robben returned the favour and set-up his fellow winger for the fourth before Thomas Muller netted the fifth from substitute Hamit Altintop's pass. Hamburg's misery was compounded when an own goal from Heiko Westermann made it six for the home side.

Shock win

Borussia Dortmund failed to extend their 12-point gap at the top after Hoffenheim recorded a shock win 1-0 over Jurgen Klopp's side. That defeat was Dortmund's first in 2011 and dented an impressive run by the league leaders of just one loss in their last 24 matches in the Bundesliga prior to Vedad Ibisevic's winner at the Rhein-Neckar Arena. Erwin Hoffer's goal from close range ensured Kaiserslautern moved out of the drop zone and into 13th after beating Freiburg 2-1 at home. The away side went ahead when Kaiserslautern's Adam Nemec put into his own net in the 21st minute. However, the Slovakian striker atoned for his earlier error with a right-footed finish 13 minutes later thanks to good work from Ivo Illicevic and Hoffer secured the dramatic win in the dying minutes.
Stunned
Wolfsburg slumped into the relegation zone after losing 2-1 to Nurnberg through another injury-time winner. Mario Mandzukic stunned the sixth-placed visitors when his well-placed header put Pierre Littbarski's men in front before Phillip Wollscheid replied for Nurnberg. Substitute Per Nilsson ensured the points stayed with Dieter Hecking's outfit in the dying minutes extending their unbeaten run to eight games. Schalke and Eintract Frankfurt battled it out at the Veltins-Arena with the hosts claiming the spoils. Die Königsblauen took the lead with a penalty when Raul drew a foul in the box and Spanish winger Jose Jurado converted from the spot on the stroke of half-time. But the goal of the game came from an audacious Georgios Tzavellas strike which was all of 40 yards out for Frankfurt. However, Angelos Charisteas netted the winner following a quick break with seven minutes remaining on the clock and brought home the win for Schalke who remain in 11th spot. A Dante header at the death for Monchengladbach cancelled out a first-half strike from Werder Bremen striker Sandro Wagner in the late kick-off as both struggling sides battled it out for a 1-1 draw.
