Bochum axe Herrlich

Bundesliga strugglers Bochum have confirmed they have parted company with coach Heiko Herrlich.

Wosz takes caretaker charge for final two games

Bochum have confirmed they have parted company with coach Heiko Herrlich. The Bundesliga strugglers have decided to act and replace Herrlich as they battle to avoid relegation with just two games left of the campaign. Herrlich was only appointed as the successor to sacked Marcel Koller midway through the first-half of the current Bundesliga campaign. After an impressive start Bochum have gone on a run of 10 games without a win and are currently third from bottom of the table. A club statement read: "Because of their sporting slide Bochum have split with coach Heiko Herrlich with immediate effect." Herrlich's assistant Dariusz Wosz has been appointed caretaker manager for the final two games against Bayern Munich and Hannover.
