Morocco have axed coach Henri Michel after they failed to make it into the knockout stages of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) confirmed Michel has been axed because of their performance in Ghana and also comments attributed to the Frenchman.
Michel is reported to have criticised the structure of Moroccan football and that has played a part in his departure.
"Due to a lack of results and because of his behaviour at a press conference held on January 31 when the national team returned from Ghana, Henri Michel's contract has been terminated," the FRMF statement.
