Argentine forward Fernando Cavenaghi put Bordeaux in front from close range after 59 minutes but Le Mans levelled eight minutes later through Norway striker Thorstein Helstad.
But defender Mathieu Chalme restored the visitors' lead 15 minutes from time, surprising Le Mans goalkeeper Yohann Pele with a long-range angled drive.
Brazilian forward Jussie then wrapped up the win in added time to move last season's runners-up to 32 points from 18 games, two points behind seven-time champions Lyon, who host Marseille on Sunday.
