The Hamburg-based club are looking for someone to succeed Holger Stanislawski, who is joining Hoffenheim in the summer, and have a shortlist of less than a dozen names. Andre Schubert, manager of German second division club SC Paderborn, had been linked with the position, but Koller is said to be the favourite. Koller was sacked by Bochum in 2009 and St Pauli general manager Helmut Schulte has confirmed the club would prefer not to have to pay compensation for a new boss. He told Bild: "We are actually looking to find a manager to start working after the end of the season. "We aim to find a manager to work with over a long period of time. We have lined up less than 12 names. "We do not really have the ambition to buy a manager that is currently under contract."
