Olympiakos beat Borussia Dortmund 3-1 to climb off the foot of UEFA Champions League Group F.
Holebas, Djebbour and Modesto on target for Greeks
Goals from Jose Holebas, Rafik Djebbour and Francois Modesto saw Olympiakos beat Borussia Dortmund and climb off the foot of UEFA Champions League Group F.
Holebas headed home the opener in the eighth minute from Ivan Marcano's cross after the German visitors failed to clear.
Robert Lewandowski had the ball in the net for Dortmund on 15 minutes but was rightly given offside, but made no mistake 11 minutes later with a drilled effort from the edge of the box into the bottom corner.
Djebbour restored Olympiakos' advantage five minutes before the break and Modesto headed a third with 14 minutes remaining as the Greek champions sealed their first group win and dumped Dortmund bottom.
But it was Dortmund who were on the attack first, with Ivan Perisic finding the arms of Franco Costanzo from close range before Shinji Kagawa blazed over.
But the hosts then scored with their first attack as Marcano's cross picked out Holebas to head the ball low into the goal.
Pour forward
The Greek side were lifted and continued to pour forward. Marcano's shot was blocked by Lewandowski and Kevin Mirallas then headed over the bar as the chances continued to come.
At the other end, Lewandowski had a goal disallowed before he fired home from the edge of the area from a Mario Gotze assist.
That sparked a run of chances for Dortmund, but Kagawa missed the target with one shot before seeing another saved by Costanzo, and then Perisic had another effort kept out by the goalkeeper.
Olympiakos then got forward but Mirallas, having headed over earlier on, this time fired over when well placed.
But he redeemed himself moments later as he crossed for Djebbour to shoot into the top-left corner of the net.
Djebbour then missed the target with another chance before half-time as the hosts went in 2-1 up.
Tried luck
Holebas tried his luck from long range early in the second half but missed the target, as did Marcel Schmelzer at the other end.
Modesto's header was easy for Roman Weidenfeller to gather in the Dortmund goal, but his team-mates were struggling to trouble counterpart Costanzo as Lewandowski lashed over and Jakub Blaszczykowski sent a shot wide from the edge of the area.
Instead it was Olympiakos who finished much the stronger, adding the third goal to make sure of the points.
It came from Ariel Ibagaza's dangerous free-kick which Modesto headed home from close range.
There were further chances for Mirallas and Holebas, and while neither could find the target, it did not matter as Olympiakos collected the three points.
The result lifts the Greek champions off the bottom of the Group F table, to be replaced there by a Dortmund side yet to recapture the form that took them to the Bundesliga title last term.
