Skipper clashes with security guards after dismissal
A red card for captain Francesco Totti shrouded the positive aspects of Roma's 2-0 victory over Lecce in Serie A.
The Italian forward was involved in an angry dispute with security guards on the touchline after being controversially sent off for an off-the-ball clash with Lecce's Ruben Olivera, who was also dismissed.
Totti and Olivera's red cards came immediately after Mirko Vucinic had given Roma the cushion of a second goal in the 76th minute at Stadio Olimpico.
Vucinic refused to celebrate with Roma team-mate Marco Borriello following a minor spat earlier in an eventful match.
Argentina defender Nicolas Burdisso had deservedly headed Roma in front midway through the second half having cleared a Lecce effort off the line in the first period.
Claudio Ranieri's Roma, who are up for sale, climbed the table to seventh as a result of the three points.
