Sheff Utd v MK Dons preview

Image: Febian Brandy: Nursing a hamstring injury

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Sheffield United and MK Dons at Bramall Lane.

Sheffield United striker Febian Brandy is an injury doubt. Brandy, a summer signing from Walsall, sustained a hamstring injury in last week's defeat at Bradford and is expected to undergo a late fitness test. Teenage striker Joe Ironside made his first appearance of the season when replacing Brandy last Saturday and could make his first start, while Chris Porter and Ryan Flynn and Thursday's signing from Oldham Jose Baxter provide manager David Weir with alternative options. Weir has no other selection worries as his side, who have taken one point from their last three league games, chase their first win since the opening day. MK Dons boss Karl Robinson faces a selection dilemma following the midweek performance at Sunderland. The Dons were leading the Black Cats 2-1 until the 87th minute at the Stadium of Light in Tuesday night's second round Capital One Cup tie, but three late goals spared the Premier League club's blushes as they eventually won 4-2. Striker Izale McLeod shone along with Dele Alli, Alan Smith and on-loan Aston Villa midfielder Samir Carruthers. They will be hoping their showings were enough to force themselves into the team having all started from the bench in the 2-2 league draw with Bristol City. Daniel Powell (ankle), Tom Flanagan (ankle) and Dean Bowditch (groin) remain unavailable while captain Dean Lewington (knee) is a doubt but is back in full training.
