Emmanuel Adebayor's late winner boosted Tottenham's chances of a spot in next season's Champions League after an intriguing and edgy 2-1 win at 10-man Stoke.
Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas hailed his side's win as they ensured the race for the top four goes to the fina day of the season. "It keeps us in the frame and gives us the possibility of making the Champions League so the important thing is the dream is still alive for us," said Villas-Boas. Stoke chief Tony Pulis bemoaned Charlie Adam's sending off as the turning point in the game. "It's disappointing because I watch football day in, day out and you see some challenges that don't even get bookings, then you see two challenges like that one today getting a sending-off," noted Pulis.
