Ibisevic double leaves Dinamo down in Europa League
Stuttgart carved out a commanding position against Dinamo Moscow with a 2-0 home win in the first leg of their Europa League play-off tie.
The German side were playing their first competitive match of the season and were initially frustrated by their Russian opponents in a goalless first half.
But Vedad Ibisevic opened the scoring in the 71st minute and then added a second in the final minute to put Stuttgart firmly in control.
They still have work to do in the second leg, however, and Dinamo will believe they can overturn a two-goal deficit on home soil.
Dinamo swept past Dundee United 5-0 in the Russian capital in the previous round, following a 2-2 draw at Tannadice.
