FC Zwolle piled more woe on struggling VVV Venlo as they secured a 2-0 win at Seacon Stadion De Koel in the Eredivisie on Friday evening.
Striker Fred Benson scored a double to inspire the victory, netting a goal in each half as Zwolle climbed into 12th place in the table.
The visitors took the lead on 13 minutes when Youness Mokhtar set up Benson for his opener.
The Ghanaian-born striker then doubled their advantage in the 63rd minute, pouncing on Wiljan Pluim's pass to net his fifth goal of the season.
The result leaves relegation-threatened Venlo second-bottom of the standings on 22 points having now lost their last six games.
