The two-time major winner is hugely popular although might miss having a fellow Spanish speaker on the team. Hasn't done much in three previous Presidents Cup but capable of brilliance on his day.

Marc Leishman:
The Aussie wildcard pick took the eye when fourth in The Masters and also played well in other prestigious events (8th Players, 12th US PGA) so he can raise his game when it counts.

Brendan de Jonge:
Made it all the way through the play-offs for the first time this year so is in good form. A good friend of Nick Price and will want to justify the skipper's faith after getting a wildcard pick.
