Sproz's passion for football was sparked at a young age. "When I was about 3, my dad managed the team my brother played in and I was always around the players. I was kind of born into football."
Sproz's passion for football was sparked at a young age. "When I was about 3, my dad managed the team my brother played in and I was always around the players. I was kind of born into football."
That early start has seen Louis develop into a naturally two-footed attacking midfielder. "I was probably six, my dad told me I couldn't use my right foot. Only my left. And it paid off. The other week I scored a right-foot half-volley from about 35 yards. A week later, I got another one from the edge of the box with my left."
Louis' football education is gathering pace at the Nike Academy. "I'm loving it. The coaching's excellent, they're perfectionists. They all give you something to improve your game, they're not picking, they just want to help you be better. I loved going to Carrington, playing where so many of the greats trained inspired me to push myself even harder.
"I honestly think this team can play at a pro level, our technical ability's there, we just need better decision making and the coaches are helping us with that. It's all about thinking as you play, playing with your head up, knowing your next two moves. "
