England coach Stuart Lancaster has made just one widely predicted change to his starting XV for the pivotal Six Nations clash with Ireland on Saturday.

Bath prop David Wilson is the only player who didn't start the 20-0 Calcutta Cup win over Scotland a fortnight ago, coming in for the injured Dan Cole who will miss the rest of the tournament.

Lancaster confirmed Cole is suffering from a bulging disc that is trapping a nerve in his neck, and he will not be re-assessed for another three months.

Wilson has only played 47 minutes of rugby in the last two months himself, that coming for his club in their Aviva Premiership win over Exeter on Saturday.

The only other change comes on the bench where uncapped Bath fly-half George Ford takes over from Saracens' back Brad Barritt.

"We have been forced into one change and we wish Dan Cole all the best for his recovery," Lancaster said.

"However, David Wilson is an experienced international with 31 caps and he showed in his three starts against Argentina last year what he can do.

"It's great to have George involved. He has settled in well and we are confident in his ability should he get his opportunity from the bench.

"We are excited about being back at our home after two games on the road. The Twickenham crowd during the November internationals was superb and I'm sure it'll be the same again on Saturday."
