Baron Corbin has become just the third person to fail to win the WWE Championship after cashing in his Money in the Bank contract.
The powerful superstar surprisingly decided to use his title opportunity to try to take advantage of a prostrate Jinder Mahal, who was on the verge of losing to John Cena in Smackdown's main event.
Corbin's attempt at glory did not go according to plan, however, as he focused on taking out Cena after the bell for his impromptu Championship match had been rung.
That allowed Mahal to roll-up Corbin from behind for a sneaky pin to walk into SummerSlam this weekend with the WWE Championship around his waist.
Corbin gets a chance at revenge over Cena at SummerSlam, live on Sky Sports Box Office from midnight on Monday morning, while Mahal will defend his title against Shinsuke Nakamura.
It's advantage Randy Orton heading into his clash against Rusev in Brooklyn this weekend.
'The Viper' displayed all of his hallmark traits to hit the Bulgarian with an RKO 'outta nowhere' as his rival was about to address the crowd after beating down Chad Gable.
Natalya picked up a potentially momentum-shifting win as she prepares to take on Naomi for the Women's Championship.
The veteran beat Becky Lynch while Naomi watched on from the commentary table.
The joker in the pack though is Carmella, who reminded the pair she could decide to cash in her Money in the Bank contract at any point too.
Perhaps after Corbin's display tonight she'll think twice.
